Bernice – I completed my B.A. at Queens College, City University of New York with a double major in English Literature and Sociology and a double minor in Philosophy and French. In addition to graduate courses in Education, which I studied in Atlanta, I completed a two year program in Sign Language Interpreting and hold credentials as both a Life Coach and Business Catalyst as well. Professionally, I’ve taught and coached people of all ages, as well a directing a private Pre-School at the same time that I pursued my personal interests as an artist, writer, and inventor (I hold three patients). Although I deal in all areas of life, I specialize in enhancing prosperity, releasing addictions, overcoming co-dependency, building positive relationships, and personal power. Jonas (Yonie) – I studied Psychology at Brooklyn College, City University of New York and received an M.Ed. in counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. In addition to my work as a therapist, I’ve worn “many hats” over the years, including Youth Director, Educator, Business and Life Coach, Per-K® Catalyst, and Sales Representative and Manager of a College Fund Sales Team as well as pursuing my interests in music, dance, photography and woodworking. As a Business Catalyst, I specialize in the area of training clients for peak performance in sales.
Together, the founders of Beacon Associates consulted and ran workshops for Business and Industry as well as the public at large in the following areas: Education, Communication, Leadership Training, Motivation, Life Coaching and Business Coaching, Stress Reduction, and Personal Growth. The early training of Beacon Associates was in the area of personal growth and included training in meditation, guided imagery, a variety of body-mind modalities and accelerated learning. Eventually, Beacon Associates trained in hypnotherapy and became certified in past life regression by Dr. Brian Weiss-click here. At the time, our daughter said, “I don’t think you’re going to land there” and she was correct.
When we, the co-founders, were blessed to discover PSYCH-K®, we applied and were accepted to enter the Instructor Certification Program. After rigorous training by Robert M. Williams-click here, the originator of PSYCH-K®, we became Certified Instructors for the PSYCH-K® Basic Workshop and the business application known as PER-K®. A year later, we became Certified Instructors for the Advanced Integration Workshop as well. There were and still are less than 50 Certified PSYCH-K® Instructors in the world and we felt blessed and honored to be two of them.
Being lifelong learners, we studied many modalities. In the years between 2007 & 2011, we also completed a Leadership Course in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) which deals with the conscious mind in the area of communication and were certified in the NVC method of Conflict Resolution. We call NVC “the language of the heart”.
Beacon Associates explores consciousness and attends workshops and trainings in this area, such as NVC and the Emotion Code, and it’s a pleasure to offer a wide variety of modalities to you.
